I sure have uploaded a lot of videos! If you're searching for a particular car, try a You Tube search using the key words raconter1 and the make and year car you're interested in. That should bring up any video I've done on that car.
I'm of the opinion that there are a lot of great cars out there, and that all makers have had their share both of great cars, and not-so-great! I try to show all makes, and favor those in great condition.
I try to be accurate in identifying the cars I film. I sometimes rely on my memory, identification with the car, sometimes the owner, and sometimes I check my references. If I am in error, please let me know in a nice way so I can correct the information.
Right now, in my stable are an '88 GT Convertible, '04 Ford Edge, '08 Mustang GT California Special Edition coupe and a '16 Dodge Challenger.

Jack, 1961 was an interesting year for Chrysler Corporation. They were coming off the huge success of the “Forward Look” styling introduced in 1957. The marketing slogan of the Forward Look was “suddenly it’s 1960”. Well, suddenly, it was 1960, and even with the yearly refreshers, the Forward Look styling wasn’t the industry leader anymore. It was time for a major styling revamp. Virgil Exner’s styling exercises were becoming more eccentric. A show car called the XNR designed by Exner in 1960 featured quirky, asymmetric shapes, seemingly random bulges and lines, and oddly shaped features. Some of those quirks made their way into the 1961 Chrysler Corporation vehicle line up, witness the canted headlights of this 300. The 1961 Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth offerings, DeSoto was officially discontinued in November of 1960, were not the industry tour-de-force that the Forward Look vehicles were, and did not create the success of their predecessors. As much as the exterior styling wasn’t a success, the interior design team knocked it out of the park. The swiveling bucket seats and full length console on the 300 were cutting edge, but the crème de la creme was the “Astrodome” electroluminescent dash. Everyone, automotive critics, enthusiasts, and shoppers agreed that Chrysler’s interiors were the industry standard for 1961. Of course, Exner’s quirkiness would culminate in the 1962 models which utterly failed and doomed his future with Chrysler. The 1961 Chrysler 300 G featured a 413 cubic inch Chrysler “Golden Lion” Wedge V-8 equipped with two Carter AFB four barrel carburetors. Those carburetors were sitting on top of a long ram intake manifold and allowed the 413 to produce 400 horsepower. In 1961, Chrysler produced 1,280 hardtops and 337 convertibles of the 300G model. Beautiful 300 G! Joe
Hey, Joe! Great analysis of this car as it stood toward the end of Virgil Exner's career. I'm thinking he was of the Jetson's school that envisioned flying cars, rooted more in imagination and fancy rather than practicality. The fact that this new design wasn't received as well as his earlier designs suggests that the American public wasn't prepared to be so extreme. At any rate, the interiors were shining examples of futuristic design. The 413 and its carburetion was an example of the best of Chrysler engineering! Not sure about torque, but 302 has 290 horsepower, but it's probably closer to 400. They underestimated horsepower generally thought because insurance companies were leery about it. Thanks! :) Jack

This Chrysler was cool! Wish they kept the R-Body cars for a few more years. But then it was a very hard time for Chrysler so they did what they thought they should do.

When I was in high school one of the teachers bought one exactly like that red 400 convertible. It seriously boosted his image in our eyes. He had previously driven a red '61 LeMans convertible (cute but anemic with the four cyl).

@@coolrides I knew because I had owned one. Mine was grenn also but the color scheme was backwards to yours with dark on bottom and light on top and mine came out at the beginning of the model year and had the powerflyte transmission and you had to keep the emergency break in good adjustment because it didnt have a park spot on it
